What is Vitamin D used for? Vitamin D is essential for bone health and assists with the uptake of dietary calcium, without it your bones may become weaker and loose density a condition known as Osteopenia or in it's more severe form Osteoporosis. Where Does Vitamin D come from? Most people associate vitamin D with the sun and this is because when our skin is exposed to the UVB in sunlight we are able to make our own vitamin D.
